Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and all dramatic performances. She started singing and studying songs with her mother and commenced more serious training in singing at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. When she moved in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in the southern part of California. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The love she has for the performing arts, music, and the arts keep active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations continue the tradition.
